Wel, luckily the bell housing has broken at the top, and no bolts normally get fitted, so a cltch change is eay, but it'll get mig'd.
mig on cast aluminum is not easy. and tiging with the trans assembled will kill bearings. lastly its good practice to pre heat cast materials before welding to ensure good penetration and less deformmation of the material with minimal heat from your machine.

Thanks for the advice, but i won't be doing the welding.

Little update on the proceedings today, and for tomorrow. :D
Engine stand bought, went for the 450kg one as there was abotu £5 difference in price.
All assembled.

And this is a few hours later.
Tomorrow, head off and strip it ready for a pressure test and 1/2mm skim.
If funds allow, i'll have it flowed too.
