Turbo or supercharge it, I vote the latter. Don't swap out the M50 just because everyone else is telling you to. All the more reason to leave it in.

The US S50/S52 is just a worked-over M50/M52 with vanos and hotter cams. It's not even a true BMW M engine.

I do have a turbo kit for an m50. Bottom mount though so i don't know if it will fit.
