    Weekend drive?

It's about 22 mb, the price you pay for a decent screen size and framerate. Obviously if you're on dialup, well, if you're on dialup you're probably waiting for the banner ad up top to load and the script to execute so you're not reading this, are you?

You could use more of the track in turn 1... See where all the black marks on the pavement are? Your car is quite a bit inside that. I just raced there 2 weeks ago.

          Looks like fun :D

As always, your smoothness at the wheel is something to be admired. 8)

              I know, I know.

I still can't break the habit of cheating turn one, it's probably my worst turn.

Jesus christ, that was the fastest download I've ever seen. Right at 2mbps.

It's OK... I used to as well. Turn in point was good, you just over-slowed for the corner. I didn't happen to notice if you were changing down there, but if you are, try going through the corner first without doing that. You might actually be able to carry enough speed without needing the lower gear. It will also let you concentrate on the line and let you try to fill out the upper right quadrant of the friction circle. As a result your apex out was at least 10 feet too far down the track. As a reference point, the right side tires should be most of the way to the right side of that concrete patch at the exit.

In the car I was in last time there I couldn't bring myself to try going through with just a lift. I think it was probably possible but that corner takes a lot of commitment. I recently went two wheels over the other side of the curbing at the exit there in an S2000 and had enough yaw to go

You know what they say... you have to go over the limit just a little bit to find it. I didn't used to believe that. However, as I've been pushing myself to go faster and faster and making small mistakes that lead to missing turn in points because of braking or carrying too much speed to drop a couple wheels at the exit I realize that I wasn't driving very near the limit at all before. Which is good at HPDE but will get you smoked at a race :D

I thought they say you know the limit when you are in the grass spinning out of control?

Nice Mid Ohio vid Charlie.... time for a new track.

Time and money bro, time and money.

I'd like to get out to places like Putnam, Beaverun, Nelson, Gratten and the like, but frankly, those add an extra day to my schedule. Mid Oh is a 45 minute drive from my apt, so I don't have to figure in motel costs and such.

It all comes down to budget, I'm realistically set for 10-12 schools a year right now, and with a world class course so close to me, I just gravitate to that. Once I factor a tow rig into my budget, I can see hitting stuff further out like the Glen, VIR and such.
