So what's with the habit of taking all but the thumbs off the wheel after your straighten it out? Rest/clear head moment, or what?
Pretty much. I generally do it just to relax my hands. That and I also managed to bruise the shit out of the bottom of my wrist/nerve earlier in the day and my right hand was going numb and cramping. Not real fun.

Nice Charlie... very very smooth driving. What compound were you running?

I've done Mid-Ohio and BeaveRun. BeaveRun is about 1.5hrs down the turnpike from me. It doesn't compare in any-way-shape-or-form to Mid-Ohio. Its like the gap between high-school and graduate university.

The BMW CCA Allegheny Chapter typically has its school sometime in October there. But if you don't have the funds to throw away you aren't missing much. Turns 1-7 are fun... but are over pretty quick. Then you just have the long back straight, big rip off of Madness turn, then the long front straight. All the elevation changes are BeaveRun are nice, but still... nothing like Mid-Ohio.

Your car just sounds so awesome.

I gotta get my ass back to the track...
