You can spot it a mile away as an Eta because the only early "i" car is the 87 325is of course. Which looks totally different.

And all you crybabies taking up for Eta's get over it and quit crying! :hitler:

Very nice and you got a deal. Eta's arent that bad, theres a lot you can do to the eta's. I dont know much about it but I believe you can throw an "I" head onto the block of an eta and give it more power. Welcome and good luck.

It looks like a solid car to start with. Dont let anyone fool you, almost everyone who is into these cars has had an eta at some point. Its just the gateway drug that will get you hooked on these cars. Be prepared to, as before mentioned, sell all other projects just to fund your new found addiction! And yes you will spend more money on this car than it will ever be worth, thats the fun of it!!
                    Good Find! Welcome!!

yes you can. I believe they are called a 2.7 stroker. Gives you more power and I guess its not that hard to do, if you are mechanically inclined :p

Search it and you will find a write-up somewhere on how to do it. Nice looking car and great find!

I have an '86 "es" and I love it! Should post up some more pics if you have done anymore work on her.
