I'm not sticking 100% OEM, doing my own thing. I don't subscribe to the idea that all OEM is the only way to go. If you're an OEM elitist then this build will not be for you, but, its whatever...we drive e30s *shrug* ... haters are gonna hate, I can't help that, in the end though, its my car and Ill do what i want.


after much much jacking back and forth and talking and aaalmost pulling the trigger on ground control coilovers, i went ahead and went the H&R race spring path.

...but the agenda is up for the coming month, and we can see what else can be squeezed in :)

You just answered your own question. Its a style thats ran it's course. Same reason you don't see people wearing bright colored socks & big frizzy hair like you did in the 80s. :D

Because it makes me embarrassed to look at it. It just looks bad. BUT, it is your car, so do as you please. Coils will be nice.

I think once you get more proper parts on that car the murdered out look will look good.

I think it's dumb people say "it's played". Everything is played, your factory color is played, why? Cause "everybody" has factory color. Your coils are played, why? Cause everybody is on coils. What about your wheels? Chances are, you're not the only one with em...same with your Euro plate, smoked e-code headlights etc...just sayin.

But do it right, don't cheap out by just spraying everything black, that looks cheap and ghetto. There is a difference between a canned "murdered look" and a baller murdered look on a truly uniquely modified car with proper wheels, stance and quality parts.

yeah going with the smoked elipsoids and MHW smoked tails, not at the top of the list.
once suspension is done and i get interior into shape while working on m30 swap, then i can put more energy into the actual body and wheels

Ill be doing a full satin black spray once i build my CF hood, trunk, and front fenders.
Cousin owns a machine shop with a side body shop that ill be spending a bit of time in when it comes time for that

as far as the bottle caps go, im going to stick with them i think, cutting some others in half and gonna widen them, atleast ill know very very few people will have wide bottle caps with big meats :)
