probably 20-30 hours to this point. The passenger side still needs about an hour of polishing, and I still have to paint the trim and rear bumper.

Its not pro quality tho, but looks great from 2 feet away. There are a couple of runs I didnt quite get out, but barely noticeable. I might re-sand them down the road.

The bumpers totally decimate the benefits of a fresh paintjob.

probably the best home-brew paint job i've seen put on an e30. LSB actually looks pretty good with the black contrasts.

since you can paint, not hard. all the front end stuff is a direct fit (minus cutting a tow hook). for the back, you have to cut a section out of the side the rear bumper and trim.

DON'T, just get a facelift valance and color match it with the iS lip. Then put your tucked dive boards back on.

Amazing job on the paint man! did you color sand it before the final clear coat? I was just wondering, because in your first picture there seems to be orange peel across the hood.

I love LOVE LOVE the black contracts pieces. Looks so nice man, now get some black wide proper wheels and be done!

I almost painted my car this color a few months ago. (I'm happy with Crimson Red tho :) )This thing is looking sweet! I've seen a few attempts of LSB on e30's and this is by far the best. Your going with the contrast which is what sets you apart from the others I've seen and thats the direction I was gonna go with. Plastic bumpers are going to do wonders too.

                            Keep up the great work!

I used PPG Delfleet single stage, so no clear coat. There is a little orange peel on the hood, but its actually not too bad. That picture is a little wobbly/blurry so it accentuates it a little. I'll pull out my DSLR and take some better shots.

Dude, I was going to shit on your thread for leaving the windshields, bumpers, mirrors, window trim, and all the other shit that should be removed but this really is an awesome job!
                                Huge improvement! two thumbs up
