Keeping this thread updated. So one day when I have kids and they take the e30 out and total it- we have something to reference and talk about how much time I have invested in this thing.

So back in August, I left the beautiful mountains of Greenville, SC and headed back up north to my homeland- Pennsylvania. I'm going to miss Greenville a lot, with the BMW plant, cars and coffee and all the gear head friends I made along the way. It was a great time- but I missed home too much. Friends and Family will pull you back. But I'm quite happy on the move!

I'm really happy because I moved all my gear into my new garage! It's awesome- just need a lift.

As far as the e30- I ended up swapping out the front POS JOM Coilovers and replaced them with Koni Adjustable and H&R Sports to match the rear. Replaced the control arms/bushings while I was in there too. The thing drives so awesome now.

Added a Garagistic Front Strut bar.

Crafted up some Evo 2 m3 gaskets. Came out great! Did the hood, bumper and trunk. I have a DIY on the cosmetics board.

And other than that- as my buddy says "What else is left to do?" ...There always is something that needs attention on these things. We will see over this winter. No huge plans from this point on, just finding headers and re-doing the exhaust and the little things. I'm really happy where it is today.

In other news, starting to strip and prime the rabbit. I don't know what I got myself into.

The car looks awesome. I'm really pleased to see that the Volvo lip is gone...those things look terrible on these cars.

In other news, I added another BMW to the corral. Sold the '08 B7 A4 and got this '13 X5 Xdrive 35diesel :)

Very happy with it. I now own more diesels than gassers!

Snapped a few pics this past week back at my uncle's shaggin' pad. Missed the fall foliage- so hopefully in the spring I'll get some comparison pics from 4 years ago.

I really have not been driving her too much lately, I've been wrapped up with body/paint prep work on the rabbit and it's just been sitting under a car cover for the past few months. Plus with the new e70, I've been enjoying driving that around quite a bit- love it. Swapped the ESM's for the basket weaves for the winter. I'll have it out for a few spins in the snow and have her back in full swing for the spring.

                Thanks Bud!

Let me just say that Body work/Paint prep is my worst enemy. Never ever doing this again. Have over 100h in it currently just to get it to this spot. Shoot me.

car is looking great. keep us updated on the Rabbit, love those things.

Also, is it possible to "drive it too much"? You put all this work into it so you could have a nice driveable car, might as well put it to work, ya know?

Thanks man! Yeah- I don't drive it as much as I'd really like. I have my garage about 15mins from my house where I keep it at-so sometimes its a hassle driving over and swapping cars. If I had it at my house, I'd definitely be driving it for short errands around the area.

Once it starts to get warmer outside- I'll be on it a lot more.

And I don't know when I turned into a "Typical Porsche Owner" who has a nice restored vehicle and never drives it.....

Thanks! Trying my best to keep it "OEM-Plus" (I HATE that word)

Man! After I swapped in the tan vinyl sports, I couldn't find anyone to take the cloth seats from me. They were up on here for about a year until I had to move and couldn't take them with me. Put them up for a few weeks for FREE and no bites. Only sold the door cards to a local guy. Anyway, they ended up in the Philly Landfill...and they were in really good condition too!

                                Nice, clean E30.

The first car I bought was an '84 GTI. Loved the car! Got me into modifications and really made me a gearhead. The rabbit will look awesome when done. Good luck.
