        I desperately want to get rid of the rake, but I can't decide what to roll in the back since the arches are so high

              that'll give you some info... I found that for early model E30's a 5" length was usually still a little high. It seems the people that went with 4" length on high arch E30's had a nice drop. You would want a 2" ID spring size. It also depends on spring rates because a stiff spring will not compress much at all. If it were me I'd do a 4" in a 650lb rate and just play with spring pad sizes to get the rear height you wanted.

                  I like some rake -
                  but would definitely think about removing rear spring pads on that early model..

                        you need better wheels man. will set it off. i like it, i guess its the muscle car lil kid deep down in side me that yerns for big V8's in bad ass chevy's. ahhh i miss my dad's chevelle SS so bad...wow major side track lol.

                              just get wide, 3 piece bottle caps for the rear and run 325's :D done
