To go with the wheel and gear knob maybe? Didn't Alpina or Snitchzer do something like this?

Thanks for the comments guys, and thanks for the additional pics Julien. I don't dislike the black bumpers, but they are just rattle canned to be somewhat presentable. I still think color matching down the road will look better, but they have grown on me a bit already.

The exhaust is really low and has been scraped a couple times. The angle makes it look a bit lower than it is, but it's still down there.

And man is the car a blast to drive. I really can't express the feeling, but it just pulls so hard.

Very nice work! Never been a fan of wood in interiors of any form, but that wheel looks sweeet.

                              Updates: 03/12

Some updates from the past year or so. The UUC BBK is installed, as are the urethane bushings all around. Also added some IE adjustable endlinks for the front sways and KMAC camber plates. Also added a Walbro 255 to solve some starvation issues I was having. General maintenance includes new heater core and piping, as well as a new alternator. I took the compressor off to get the engine in and never put it back on, so I decided to just pull the rest of the A/C components, as well as the cruise control.

Though not abused, the car has seen some pretty hard use. A track day at CMP necessitated a rebuild of the front calipers, fixing of an exhaust leak, temporary removal of the glove box, and a new fuel pump. Other than that, the car has been dead reliable for street driving and all of my autox adventures. So, since she's mechanically sound and running well, time to make some changes, both cosmetic and for bizness.

First things first, it was time to color match the mirrors and bumpers and get some new trim. Some paint from paintscratch.com, a shit ton of sanding, a weekend, some clearcoat, and a phone call (thanks Blunt!) took the car from this:

                              to this:

All new euro trim, as well as new roundels. There's still more to do, but she's going in the right direction.

After much deliberation I've decided to get a bit more serious about racing the car. Not an easy decision given that the car is VIN matching and 100% rust free, but at the end of the day it's a car that has been built to be driven, and I've gone way too far to start again with another car (e30 or not).

I'm in the GB for Arc-8's, so frequent wheel changes are imminent. How can we make this easier? Why, a stud kit from motorsport hardware of course! (Thanks Ryan!) I got the extended race lugs which are definitely quality, and look awesome to boot.

During install (I think it still says UUC somewhere under all that brake dust...)

                              Installed!

Two of my biggest challenges in autox so far have been being able to hold onto the wheel and staying planted. I'm gonna need to sort that out if I want to be at all competitive this season. I love this interior, but it isn't so much great for performance driving.

So we'll start with the wheel. Just picked this up in 350mm form, feels incredible.

Full interior shot with weighted UUC knob (absolutely glorious with Evo3 and DSSR btw)

I know it isn't as classy, but the driving feel is amazing. Stay tuned for more updates in the next couple weeks.
