Grab your spice weasel and BAM! (Long)

    Updates 04/12 at post #36
    Updates 06/14 at post #40/42
So, first and foremost I would like to give a huge shout out to Julien, who is pretty much solely responsible for the way this has come out. Without him this project would have probably lasted forever or been abandoned at some point along the way. Instead, I have the S52 swapped car I present to you now. Here is a link to my introduction and first updates, but I feel that this build should have its own thread.

    Starting with the empty bay

Close up of the 95 M3 rack

S52 getting ready to go in, showing the AA LTW flywheel

Tranny bolted up (used the G260)

    Julien hoisting the engine up

Me behind the engine not knowing Julien was going to take a picture

    Engine going in

    Engine in! (Kinda)

Julien shaving down the fins on the intake manifold to get it to clear the ix booster

Me massaging the racelands to get them to clear the subframe (with the help of my cousin)

    Completed engine bay

    Full 3" exhaust, no cat

    How she sits now

    An interior shot

And since the shift linkage had to be bent, it was thought that this was fitting.

Finally, a clip of the exhaust. It's loud and has some rasp, but I like the sound. At some point I'll probably add a resonator or something, but it's good for now.

The amazing thing is that it started up first time, and has run pretty much problem free thus far. It is everything I thought it would be and then some. Absolutely amazing.

    Parts list:
    Under hood-
    OBD-I swapped S52
    - All new gaskets, seals, water pump, thermostat, cam/crank sensors - all wear items replaced
    Bimmerworld intake setup
    3.5" HFM
    24# Injectors
    Raceland headers
    Full 3" catless exhaust
Custom Dinan tune (from the e36)

    Driveline-
    AA Ltw flywheel
    6 puck unsprung clutch
    White325is trans brace
    UUC SSK and DSSR
    New guibo
    Redline trans and diff fluids
    New clutch MC
    New clutch slave cylinder

    Brakes/Suspension -
    ix booster
    New 25mm MC
    IE3 springs
    Billy sports
    e90 drop hats
    e36 M3 control arms
    Urethane offset CAB's
    95 M3 rack
    21mm cabby front sway
    18mm H&R adjustable rear sway
BBS RX 17x7.5 all the way around
    UUC BBK (awaiting install)

    Interior/Exterior
Freshly recovered e30 M3 front seats
    Nardi woodline steering wheel
    New (to me) windshield
    New center console
    New mats
    Plastic bumpers
    New is lip
OEM Mtech 1 wing (awaiting paint and install)

I'm sure I left some stuff off, but you get the idea. There are a few little things to be addressed, but she runs like a champ and is good enough for the moment. I need to save up some funds to finish her off, but am very pleased with where she is.

    Future plans are:
getting the bumpers, valence, mirrors, and MT1 wing painted
    picking up some euro trim
installing the urethane RTABs, subframe bushings, and diff mount bushing I have laying around
installing the UUC BBK (probably be done same time as rear subframe stuff)

Questions and comments are welcome, but if anyone quotes the entirety of this post I vote banstick in advance.

      That, is bad ass.

And I really like your interior! Have been debating on a wood wheel and knob, but wasn't sure how it would flow well with tan and red. Now I know.

Thanks, pretty much none of that is original to when I got the car. The front is nice, but the back seat is fubar from the PO letting his dog ride back there all the time. I'm looking for either an e30 M3 rear seat to match the fronts or a 4 point bolt in bar for bizness. Neither of which do I have money for at the moment.

Yeah the Woodline and knob are really unique. Only seen a Woodline on one other E30 so far.

I dig it. Very well done.

I love the car! The interior is clean as fuck and old school looking. I vote for keeping the black bumpers too.

Glad to see somebody else with the UUC BBK. Just did mine a couple weeks ago and love it.
