This is the car that Bryson did the 24V swap on. A friend of ours threw all his money into the S50, and when it was all done, had nothing left for suspension--so he sold it. It was a bad call on his part to do engine first, but I'm sure when bmws50b30 throws in a good suspension setup, you'll all be jealous of how badass the car is.
i need suspension bad

I thought you were banned. What did you do, fly out to Texas give Jordan head because you couldn't live without posting and talking shit on R3V 24 hours a day? Although I've noticed that since you've been "paroled", you've toned it down slightly. I guess the fear of actually doing something BESIDES sitting at your computer and whipping out your e-cock is what keeps you in check.Originally posted by rwh11385+1. after you whining about people giving you a hard time, you are doing the same to him?Originally posted by Robbecause its his car to do what he pleases?
I personally don't see why people worry about window switches, sidemarker trim, and grills before real mods.
Go with Ground Control.
Rob and bmws50b30, I wasn't intending to talk any shit, I was just putting it out there. I'm just one of those people that when it comes to power and handling mods, there's a correct order to doing them, but that's just my opinion.Comment

funny that used to be in my sig.Originally posted by Eurospeed88I'll never understand people who do such extensive mods to their cars, and in this case, a DOHC engine with 100 more horsepower than stock, without first upgrading the suspension/brakes. Don't get me wrong, your car is impressive, and I love the S50 in E30's. But there's no point in having so much power if your car isn't prepared to handle it.
Power is nothing without control.
like the others said i bought the car with the engine in it. i've always wanted to do the swap but the lack of knowledge, tools, space and time i decided to get one with the engine in it. i got it at very nice price too. i'm learning a lot about the car though as i make it better from what it was before here's a before pic of the engine bay. the car was re-sprayed too as all diamanschwarz met, the paint was faded

at least i'm not hanging from anyone's sack. if jordan wants to ban me again then so be it. as far as i'm concern i haven't done anything wrong (even before)
if you're entitled to your opinion then why was i banned for mine?Comment

I've come to the conclusion that most folks dont need a race car suspension to have fun on the street, no matter what motor (within reason). An e30 with fresh (ie not blown shocks, decent shape bushings, etc) handles great as is, as long as the tires are up to it.BEERTECH

I bet there are a lot of people out there that are more capable in a stock suspended E30 than you in your car. In all fairness, the driver is the biggest variable and if he wants to leave it stock who gives a shit.Originally posted by Eurospeed88I thought you were banned. And you are a hypocrite. You always get all sand-vaggy when people tell people things they need to do to their car, yet you just did the same.Comment

Jay, you'll notice I never told anyone how to do anything to their cars. I first stated that I didn't understand why people do power mods before handling, and then later stated that my order of doing power and handling mods were simply my opinion.
I'm not trying to start shit with anyone here (save maybe Robert, but that's just because it's fun). I guess my first comment was a little out of line, and I apologize if I ruffled anyone's feathers.

making you car faster isn't the only thing that makes people happy. some of us like to make it nicer as well. having a fast car doesn't mean shit if you're stuck in bumper to bumper traffic with no AC or radio.Originally posted by rwh11385+1. after you whining about people giving you a hard time, you are doing the same to him?Originally posted by Robbecause its his car to do what he pleases?

also things like trim and switches are a lot cheaper and simpler to do compared to engine work and suspension (although suspension isn't too tough). not too many people can work on their own engines..Comment

I know, I was agreeing with you and making my own point.Originally posted by rwh11385heh Chris (nando), it was a point I was trying to express. No one likes to be told what to do with their car, and the person who says that the most is the one who is doing it here.
haha. exactly as Jay said in his last post.Comment
