I've used Dow Corning 832, on both my RM's and RS's. This is where I get it from:

Although I am not sure what the exact preferred method for sealing 3 piece wheels is...
I've always bolted everything up first and then sealed the area where the pieces meet with 2 coats of sealant. I have also made sure that the last coat spans an entire inch in width. I've only done 2 wheels like this and haven't had any issues. Although, I'm sure there are many different ways to do it. I trust that Stale30 knows his stuff judging by how many freakin wheels he goes through... haha.

I've never done the 'sandwich filling' method either, but it's all a matter of sealing the mating surfaces. I just wish I had an airgun and second set of hands the last time i did a rebuild. Carpal tunnel is a bitch.

Exactly, and rs001 and rs003 have the same waffles.

If you can source cheap barrels and proper lips, you can convert them for less than buying a set of 003's

@stale30, What as the actual build time for the 1 wheel?

Yeahs, my friend had the 15" BBS RS in his garage and my dad wanted the outerlips from those wheels for his BBS RS' i am working on for his E21, so then my friend did it that way, its also very hard to find good RS' 16" 4x100 to start of with aswell, also more rare this way :-)

Bimma360: The facts on the sealant product looks about simular to what we use, its also many different products to use :)
And ive actually never tried to bolt the complete wheel then do the sealing, but i bet it works, i just like doing it this way :-)
I've once experienced, my friends Alpina 18" 2piece wheels leaked when he did only the sealing when the wheel was boltet, but i dont know if he might did something wrong or what :P

Ryno: depents on how much crap we are talking and how many Monster Energy Boxes we drink, haha :-) just kidding a bit, the actuall time on this video was 15min 34sec.
But ive never tried record attempt :-)

Thats crazy, theres a place in cali i can order 16x7 rs's for relatively cheap and on the regular. They also redrill for $150. You should build some 16x9 rm's now that would be rare! BBS are like gold here in america its a love hate sorta thing hah

16x7 4x100's (RS003) cheap? All other bolt pattern 16x7 RS's are pretty cheap everywhere.

RM barrels and centers (waffles) are one piece. Cannot change barrels to up size.

Maybe not 4x100 but you get the idea, forgot rm's were 2 piece. I quit caring because 15s just do not fit e30s.

I've been thinking of making RM's 15" 2piece to 16" 3piece, im still checking it out, if the strenght of the center alone is as strong as the rs f.ex, that is after the wheel would have been in a machine shop cut'd the center from barrel.

                                Hey Guys:

So where can I source the barrels? A local provider can get me sweet lips...

I saw OZ and BBS mentioned...any other options for good quality stuff?
