Nice! I just picked up my first e30 a few weeks ago. Good luck with the car and happy modding.

Drop a lsd in that puppy and start drifting!, you could have just bought a 325is that comes with lsd stock though...

          Stage 2

for appearance - Ronal LS 15" wheels. This will also give you smoother ride (7.5" wide vs. 6.5") and better cornering ability (1" taller rim means 1" shorter sidewalls. metal is firmer than rubber). But appearance is the main benefit. I'd wait until you need to get new tires though.

for fun factor/performance - performance chip (Mark D, Jim C, Dinan,..... it's all good. Performance chips are like blow jobs. Some people say one is better than the others but any one is better than none. Unless it's your mom, or so I've been told). Gotta use at least 91 octane once you install though. But the car will be exponentially more fun to drive with a performance chip.

for comfort - autoloc one-touch window modules. Gotta buy one for each window. there's a guy on eBay that sells them pretty regularly. He's got the best price.

I was gonna recommend lowered suspension or a 4.10 diff as Stage 3 (along with Euro grilles for appearance).

A lowered suspension on 14" x 6.5" looks better than on stock suspension, but not better than Ronal LS 15" on stock suspension. Plus I'd rather take a corner on 15s with stock suspension than 14s and lowered suspension. But that's just me.

Economically it makes sense to wait to buy the Ronals when it comes time to replace the tires and the suspension (shocks / springs) when it comes time to replace the shocks.

So then a performance chip now for sure and maybe the One Touch modules.

for real man. its what makes the e30 a winner! dont lolly gag with rims and stickers. set the car up to out corner anything and everything, then worry about how it looks.

A lowered E30 with stock wheels is much better than a 4x4 with aftermarket wheels.

                      My vote:

                      1. Springs AND struts & shocks. If money is an issues, leave the rear shocks for later, re-alignment is not necessary after replacing the rear shocks.

                      2. Anti Roll (AKA Sway) bars, whether aftermarket or better factory stuff.

                      3. Fresh brake pads, SS lines, better fluid, new rotors if necessary.

                      4. Set of 16" or 17" wheels and tires...gotta be some ricer getting out of a decent set to get some chrome blingos, buy their old set cheap, get a set of decent spacers

                      5. More motor...chip, whatever

                      6. Keyless/alarm/remote start/window roll up/whatever.

                      Just my opinion,

                      Luke

Ok, your car is one of the exceptions I'd rather see at stock height with aftermarket wheels, because your car is just ghetto-low.
