90% of the paint on the car is original 1986 paint. It was owned by a old man who gave it to his grandson for a first car, and he blew the motor a few months later, so he sold it to me for 100.
the only unoriginal paint is the alpina front, m-tech rear wing, and bumper, and mirrors.
getting close to the first fire-up. gotta make radiator mounts, exhaust mount, and install the oilcooler. hoprfully this week, it will be running.

Seriously! If you only realized how difficult it is to find an original body/paint e30 in the states with paint that's even decent.

the car will be fine. I have driven E30s through the winter here for the last 10 years, and had no winter time accidents. I will see how much i like the car after driving it a few months as to what kind of love it will recieve next summer. had a m50 lined up for it, but decided i didnt want to do all that work to it before this winter, maybe next summer. here in germany, this car really isnt worth much. thats why i got it so cheap. it was in the local paper for almost a month, and i was the first to reply to the ad. he wanted 350 and i said here is my number, max amount i will give is 100-- a few hours later he called, and said please take it away. It does have a few small rust spots on the rear quarters, but they are still pretty small. the inspection on the car runs out in june 06 and after that, i will have to go to get it renewed, and that will be alot of money, to have the M20 O.K.ed along with all the other parts. I still have to rip out the drum brake rear axle and install the disk brakes. so much to to with so little time.
