Drove my turbo M3 from Louisville to Orlando and back several times. A couple with the bra, a couple without.

Nope, not buying it.....so many other factors come into play.
Also, you can buff out scratches from the bra, but you can't buff out a rock chip.

It's usually smart to just do the whole hood.Leave a comment:

I'm wondering if the clear lamin-x chip protectors have a tendency to fade paint unevenly just like a car bra. I figure whatever material it is that they use must have some UV protection in it so the laminate itself doesn't fade.Leave a comment:

Yeah, you're only supposed to keep them on during a long road trip.Leave a comment:

Bras are so bad for paint. People think they're saving their front end from rock chips, but as soon as you get some dirt/dust/whatever else under there, and that thing flaps around in the wind while you're driving, you start to pretty much sand your paint.Leave a comment:

Yeah, you can have rock chips, which are only noticeable up close, or with a bra, fade lines and worn paint form bra rubbing which is noticeable feet away + its looks ugly with it on.
Rock chips are the lesser of the two evils.Leave a comment:

This is about their only useful purpose, leaving them on damages the paint in the long run. I will instead use blue painters tape, as using profanity and protecting the important bits is a win-win situation.Leave a comment:

Keep your paint looking nice by making your car look hideous! The logic behind car bras confuses me.Leave a comment:
