    Welcome to my M42 hell!!!

Its a turd, but its my turd.

well, thought I would snap a few pics of my 1600revolutions per minute idle having E30.

It is not as nice as it looks in the pics, but not really rusty either.(odd for germany) and I rescued it out of the stripping yard- all the fluids were already out(holes in EVERYTHING).

I have no idea what year it is, just that it has no sport seats from the factory(but still has the Überkaro design), no LSD, and no sideskirts, as well as no options, not even a sunroof.

I plugged up all the holes with glue, tape and such, tapped out the hole they drilled in the trans and stuck a bolt in there too! replaced everything that had to do with the HVAC (it went to the yard due to a heatercore explosion)-so someone RIPPED and punched everything out in frustration! Also everything to do with the cooling system except 1 hose.

ohh, I threw some 185/55/15 snow tires (from a FIAT) on a set of euroweaves to make it look sweet through the winter! Everything that looks cool on it probably wasn't on it when I got it.

yes, I hate the M42 (other than the good mileage, and at 150-160kmh it still scoots along o.k. on the autobahn)in town I hate it.

and for all of you that say the motor is anything like an S14 ......EAD! no it's not.

Really? My favorite e30 has been the 318is for a lot of reasons... I always thought it would be neat to make a 2.1L stroker m42 with ITB and velocity stacks... now that would be sweet!

        Love your cars look, too!

that's what I had last year (the red car)-- had ZERO problems out of it.

actually, this iS isn't that bad, it's a big love/hate relationship. I think I am going to keep it and do something with it one day. I polished the car for MANY hours and days-- it really needs paint BADLY. It was a poor abused car by some soldier who didn't care 1 bit about it.
