    New to bmw, 325ix

Hey all, just figured i would introduce myself, been lurking enough. Picked up an 88 325ix in pretty good shape. Diamond Black Metallic with cardinal red leather interior. Generally pretty mint, aside from a persistent driveline vibration i've been chasing (posted in the ix forum on here about that) Anyways, this thread is useless without pics so here you go (also picture whoring with my other car, 04' R32):

The R is pretty much stock. Did the flapper-mod so it sounds the way it should, tuned, and thats about it (other than the obvious cosmetics.)

The ix so far has received new brakes all around (pads and rotors) new stainless muffler, right rear wheel bearing, a valve adjustment, new (reman) rear driveshaft and guibo. Still chasing a vibration, once thats solved it will get a new radio and be ready to go for winter!

No euro bumpers (unless i'm mistaken)

Those Corrado steelies actually don't look bad on there.

I like the steelies, they look nice for winter wheels. You have the U.S. diving boards. All U.S. ix's came with: two doors, 5spd, sport seats, power everything, premium sound, ellipsoids, 13 button obc and leather.

Welcome and congrats! Diamantschwartz is a killer color and I love the cardinal red interior. Good luck with chasing down the vibration, but it otherwise looks to be in good condition.

That's 88 model year only. On 89+, most of those became options.

Congrats on the iX! It appears that you have a taste for AWD vehicles :)

Love the r32! Should mod the center diff (haldex mod???) to make sure that the e30 doesn't become the more fun car... if it already won't. :)

your interior is oxblood, not cardinal.

                    that ix looks very nice.

Sorry, I forgot to add that in while trying to think of all the options.

What exactly is the difference? is oxblood darker?
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Thanks for the welcome guys. I am a big awd fan (obviously) and am excited to see how this thing does in the snow. It seems like the VC in the trans case is a bit worn, (sort of passed the jack test but not well) so I'll probably replace that eventually. Until then I'll enjoy it as is.

And for the person who asked, I thought about upgrading the haldex controller in the R but have decided not to for now. I drive A LOT so I plan on keeping it pretty much stock for now. Maybe once I move closer to where I work I'll spend more time modding it but for now it's just the best daily driver ever.

Did you replace the CSB when putting in that new driveshaft?
