          Quick update

pulled that god awful kit. threw the drift spares on and looks like im gonna need about an 8-10mm spacer to clear the strut.

wasnt able to get pictures kitless due to the crappy lights in my garage but heres one of the lump that needs to come out. looks to be all e30v8.com stuff so its a realitively clean swap.

Im basicly fresh out of knee surgery so it'll be slow progress for a bit but ive got a buddy whos graciously offered to help so we'll have to see what happens.

cam'd up 1.7 full rollers highflow w/p arp studs and bolt kit bunch of milodon and edelbrock goodies. full balance and blue print. basicly a buddy of mine built it for a customer and they backed out so because he was moving his shop and didnt wanna move a bunch of extra stuff he took what he had laying around and threw it on. he said he estimates 320-330 crank.

                I love carburetors.

Sorry if I missed it but is that V8 attached to an auto, or manual?

It is, on the 5.0 it has to go forward kinda around the engine. I always hated this about the 5.o.

right now both side just run under the frame rail and dump. you cant run them back do to the steering on the drivers side. This is also the reason its gots wrap around the front.

Awesome! glad to see another 5.0 person on here, can't wait to get my swap started. Your engine may be a bit more powerful than mine though...

Thats surprising due to the affordability and ease of the swap. This thing will be a beast though!

lol we'll have to see. my engine guy is very capible but with it being built for someone else in mind his hands are often tied by what there able to pay for. to be honest im not 100% sure on build specs. brought up the idea of testing my motor to see if it was anygood and having him build it and he said he already had this one built so for we figured Id keep the other for a core incase i decided i need a 347 later.

Still, my motor is dead stock. But luckily its not power I'm interested in, Its torque. And these motors(as you probably know) produces tons at ridiculously low rpm... If it goes sideways fast, ill be happy. Goodluck! Cant wait to see this thing sideways.

just a few pictures in the light - lack of bumper covers and valance leaves something to be desired. ultimately im thinking anouther 20mm all around and pulling the crap out of the fenders will make me considerably more happy.

                                and the "exhaust"

buddy of mine mentioned runnng the exhaust out the high beam holes. rediculoius thought for a street car. the thought brings a smile to my face for a drift car tho
