    Exactly why I got a cheap Volvo lip. When installed correctly it looks decent certainly better than nothing and it can take a beating and I won't feel bad about it.

        Nope. The needle has never gone past the halfway point. In the summer it will go to the halfway point sometimes but then I hear the fan go on a higher speed and it stays just below the halfway mark. I have a variable speed SPAL fan in front of the radiator and condenser. The SPAL fan gets the temp from the ECU which controls the speed.
