I second that! The plastic bumpers helped add that pizzazz!

Basically stock, but after I get my hands on it . . .
I have an awful lot of items in my garage that are waiting for the car. Mostly very purposeful items - not bling.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

yes.
Sterling. Grey Cloth Sport interior - nearly new. 3.73 LSD. 5 speed (like I'd buy an auto e30?).
Waiting in my garage:
All new front suspension - Lemforder CA and New tie rods. THR CABs. New sway bar links. H&R Race and Bilsteins. (though Konis may be in the future). In the rear, IE TA bushings. H&R Race and Bilsteins again. Still have to buy the subframe bushings. New Sway links there as well.
Also waiting to go on it - Sparco bar and IS lip.
Brakes - Powerslot rotors and HP+ pads. Still have to get new lines.
Wheels - 2 sets. The nogaro weaves for the street and black weaves with Azenis for the track.
There's more to come.Last edited by Dave; 09-30-2005, 05:27 PM.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3

Good thing you are gettin rid of that peanut buttered POS. Jesus.... I'm suprised you have survived for so long with it in N.KY without taking an ass wiping. Only rich prissy bitches and homos drive converts in the G. Cincy area. Jeesh......
*LOL* You definitely spent a lot of time on that thing. Glad to see you found a good home for it. Its always fun to get some fresh meat in now and again....

Just saw this thread. What a transformation, Dave! Don't worry, a good home is a sheer understatement. You should have seen the love I gave that euro of mine, and that wasn't half the car this is!
I've got some pretty nice plans for your vert. Some previews:
E30 M3 suspension swap - keeping the H&R race and bilsteins for now, may grab eibachs at a later date. Wheels will most likely be M-system II's from the E34 M5, sans wheel covers. Attempting to get a hold of an mtech 2 kit, but may settle for stock for this season. If I don't get the mtech 2, I'm just going to put an i lip on the front end to clean it up a bit - any lower and the MA roads would eat it.
It's interesting to see the car once had the navy top - I was just checking that euro vert in the wheels post that has a navy top and looks great. I think I'm ok with the tan top though - if it ever gets ripped, it's going black though ;) To go with the top, the seats are going to be redone in leather - navy and tan, to go with the rest of the car. Haven't decided if I want navy centers and tan bolsters, or navy bolsters and tan centers. Door panels will be recovered to match as well.
My woodline BMW/Nardi wheel will be controlling the direction, while either a refinished Alpina wood knob to match, or an M5 illuminated wood/leather knob will control the gears.
Decided to rock the m20 this year, next winter will see a built non-vanos M50.
Probably smoked ellips, but regulars if not. Rear tails are going to be new OEM - already have one. Haven't decided on the spoiler yet - maybe mtech 2, maybe nothing. No third brakelight, and no badges (except the roundel.) Welding on the lower "skirt" under the rear plastic bumper to finish the look.
Entire car is getting a professional repaint (gee Dave, wonder why? :)) and all rust will be repaired. Sticking with Royalblau - of course ;)
Dave's car is very, very clean, with minor spots of rust that is easily repaired, and the car is a one owner with low miles. It's going to be a great car for him to mod and not worry about rusting away.
Contrary to any naysayers, we're both very satisfied with the trade, he gets a track safe car, I get my convertible - since I only drive my bimmer between April and October :)

"Hi Scott, I'm Chris... do you know you're gushing coolant all over the parking lot?"
*looks over his shoulder*
"Oh... haha. YUP! I keep 4 gallons in the trunk at all times!"
:crazy:Below the radar...
