1986 bmw 325

Hey guys, new to the forum. I actually ended up buying this off craigslist as a commuter and probably will do very minor mods on this one. But its my first e30, looking to eventually get a 2 door 5 speed... this is a 86 with 155k miles when purchased, automatic, and yes, the racing stripes are going to come off when it gets a little warmer!

yeah i saw that shit! lol... had to edit it, and yea, actually i do live down the shore! haha... but what do you guys think? overall pretty solid car actually, relatively clean, no serious rust or anything... this probably isn't the one ill mod, but always looking for a nice 89 or 90 e30 5 speed!

if i really wanted to splurge, it would be... 5 spd swap, lower with bilsteins, mtech kit all the way around, and swap the cloth seats for leather... but whats the difference between motors? dont i have an E motor vs. an I motor?

you have the 2.7l eta, and the other variation of the m20 is the 2.5l

2.7 eta gets better mileage and is slower
2.5 is faster gets a tiny bit worst of mileage.

not to be a retard, but im actually not too sure.. im not THAT knowledgable with e30s.. what i do know is it just says 325 in the back.. but from what i have observed, i think its an E.... cloth seats?

Right, I always forgot the '86's came in just 325 models, with no letters afterwords.
