    Matte Blue BMW

A few months ago I R3v"d my rear quarter panel.

After getting a ridiculous quote of $1,700 to fix it, I decided I would do it myself. Once I had it hammered out I decided I might as well paint it instead of having an ugly primed quarter panel.

I don't have any pics of the body work or of the car getting prepped for paint; but you're not missing much.

Once it was sanded down and primed I rigged a paint booth in my back yard. I used an awning and some PVC pipe to make the frame. Then I wrapped it in drop cloth and and some tarp.

I was doing all this on a budget of ~$250 so I decided to use spray paint. I ended up getting Montana 94 since I wanted a matte finish and it was fairly cheap at $5.95 a can. The color I chose is called Eureka blue.

    What do you think?

Yep, It was cheap and came out well. Just need to color sand the trunk, roof, and hood.

It looks fine except for some slight fuzz on the hood, trunk, and roof. But I just need to color sand that out. I'll get some quick day pics today or tomorrow.

I'll get close up pics and pics of the panel later today. It isn't a flawless repair, just a lot better than having a huge crease.

That looks cool. Now just slam it to the ground, and put a very loud exhaust on it.

Is that stock ride height? What kind of rims are on there?
