Call me crazy, but the best sounding v8 to me is a 302. Not even a ford fan but that engine sounds so good.

Throw a twin screw on it and you got yourself a winner my good friend.

Nice score! I actually test drove that when it was first on craigslist...way back when. That thing DEF needed a new exhaust...and it REALLY needed a new steering wheel. IIRC you could twist the rubber around the core of the steering wheel. LOL..and of course just a nice clean up of the swap.

But those are all minor things.

I passed only because I really wanted to do my own v8 swap. (LS1 6speed)

Did the PO start working on his other swap yet?

Did you get those black e36 seats he had in the garage too with it?

Selling the eta with stock suspension and good parts removed to a co-worker. My next step is swapping in a new T-5 w/ a spec clutch due to the current T-5's synchros being completely blown out (as most 20 year old T-5's are). After the drivability issues are gone, next comes the suspension, wheels, burnout vids.

How do you like the car so far? Does it go fast?

Yeah it's pretty fun. With the stock engine I compare the performance to a M30B35, but with a little more torque available at low RPMs

dude, i love it! its not that much heavier than an m20, putting aluminum heads will take care of that at least :)

not that its really the point of the car, but any ideas on MPG? just curious as this would be the direction i see myself going in a few years

My odometer kicked the bucket, but by my average miles driven per week I'd throw a guesstimate at around the mid teens around town. Highway probably 18 or so.

Keep in mind I'm running a straight pipe (no cat) and she's a bit rich

I rather do this swap than a jap swap.

                          +1 on the videos

I would also slap the 5.0 emblem on there just for the hell of it

Awesome car. I have a softspot for oddball swaps. I always wondered how a different 'stang engine would work in an e30, the 2.3L SVO/Tbird Turbo.

                              Any plans for brakes upgrades?

Nah, not too concerned about the brakes yet. Maybe once all the other performance work is done. Doing a new T-5 trans with a Spec clutch this weekend, then next on the list is heads/cam/intake/injectors/headers for hopefully a little north of 300bhp
