    The Grant318is Build thread

So after years of reading, I decided to make an account. I recently bought a 91 318is after selling another car of mine.

    Currently the car has
    Koni Adjustables
Eibach Spring (not stiff enough for me)
    Konig Remembers
    Mtech II Wheel

As of now the plans are:
    Timing Chain Tensioner -done
    UUC EVO 3
Rear Camber/Toe Adjustment Kit from BimmerWorld - done
Rear Trailing Arm Bushings - done
    Rear Differential Mount
    Wheel Bearings - done
    Tranny Mounts - done
R134a Retrofit Kit to get the AC working again
    Coilovers - done
    Black Leather Sport Seats

    In the future:
    S52 or M52 Swap
    E36 Rack - done
    BBS RSs - done

Yeah, it appeared to have an oil leak, so I took the pressure washer too it. Its a FL car, so its pretty much rust free.

Anyways, the car was repainted recently and there was a bunch overspray on the windows and grime in the door jams.

Got around to doing some work this weekend. I pulled up the rear carpet only to find a bunch of surface rust. Nothing bad, but I figured that I might as well fix it.

Using a dremmel and a wire brush, I got most of the mess off.

Decided to pull the battery tray only to find more surface rust and a small (dime sized hole)
Some deeper spots sanded and filled with bondo and rust inhibitor.

      Adding inhibitor to more places

      Also did the battery box:

Got bored today and decided to tackle the sunroof. It wasnt closing all the way and it had some rust where the screws go in.

        A working roof!

Also, I sprayed my battery holder

AKG poly motor and transmission mounts. Because race car.

New wheel bearings to address the noise in the rear
