Difference is, it's a lot smaller than an entire M3 wing. I think that little bit of black acts as a contrast, similar to moulding. If it's in good shape, I love the black on M-Tech 1 spoilers.

If the car is black, I really don't like the gloss black IS spoilers. I think my car would look seriously goofy for the front spoiler to be gloss black.

Hmm, I think someone needs to photoshop this car and make the trim body color. I think I've seen it before and didn't like it, but on the proper car it might.
