    A year later

Just wrapping up a string of projects that have been on the table for awhile. I've had the vert for around a year now, most of that time has been spent cleaning up after the PO, a retired woman who taught law as far as I can tell. Anyway I recently lowered her on Billy Sports and Ireland stage 3's, huge improvement from the busted stockers I've been runnin on for a year. Also 25mm Front and 22mm Rear sways (the rear reinforments from Ireland are superb btw). Found a junkyard valance for $25 to replace the smooshed one on there when I bought her. Sanded away the Bronzit and painted it flat black, the fender was also smooshed by the PO, so swapped it out for a junkyard fender that had the beginning of a sticker bomb, think I'll keep that going. Also picked up Kosei K1's 17x7.5 205/45 front 215/45 rear from Blackout on this forums, thanks again bro. More stuff coming in, SSK, DSSR, LSD soon etc, but it won't be changing appearances so here's the before and after.

Hate to say it but the car looked cleaner in the before picture. I'm sure it's a bast to drive though with the suspension mods

Aboslutely, and the before was the good side, the driver side corner, fender and valance were wrinkled and bent and awful.

No interiors atm, its old beat tan, with old blue leather sport seats, as it was when bought. I bought the car for 1500 bones a year ago and she's come a long way since then mechanically speaking. Cosmetically she was a nightmare, and is only marginally better now, add to that she was hit by some old lady while a mechanic was test driving a clutch install, the one time in a decade I let someone else work on one of my cars and it gets hit. (long story, medical emergency, couldn't do the clutch and be at the hospital with my wife at the same time). Anyway she's taken some lumps and isn't gonna be "clean" for a long long time, if it all, I kind of like her being rough and ready. She had ignition issues, and heat issues, I've since overhauled the entire cooling system, aluminum radiator, silicon hoses, electric fan swap, pulled the water pump to find a shattered plastic impeller piece, metal impeller now. Rotors, plugs, wires, CPS. One off AFM w/ K&N. LSD swap coming up soon with a new driveshaft, guibo, center support bearing. SSK, DSSR and maybe some camber correction. Personally I'm not big on aesthetics, function > form, and she is functional as fuck right now, hwy 330 and 38 to and from Big Bear Lake has kind of been my benchmark since I lived up there for a time, and holy shit Betty loves the mountain roads :]

I have to say I'm a little disheartened by all the "clean clean clean" comments. I see a lot of whats basically the same car getting love on these boards, cookie cutter like. BBS weaves or similar, IS skirts and Lip, doesn't matter how low, gap is all that seems to matter, and shiny shiny shiny. I don't aspire for new or groundbreaking or anything, but different is way better then clean.

                            I agree with this guy.

At least you got a straight fender. Get some paint on there
