    Saw that E34 on BaT also, but too much car for me as the Touring will be driven by my wife also. She can drive a manual though, and will be swapping a ZF 5 speed in the spring. Thinking about an M54 too...

    You're right about the steering--rebuilt mine with all new goodies but it's still no rack and pinion for sure.
