This looks awesome. I just bought a red 325is same year as this and this thread is now my source of inspiration to get it pristine. Did you have a shop paint it or what? Do you know how much $ you are into it?

Saturday I got the sunroof reinstalled as well as the rear bumper put back on. Thanks to bimmerteck once more for the extra hands and knowledge.

Yesterday I finished putting the interior back together and got the rear speakers spliced back in so I have some sound.

Today I put the side skirts on, went for a drive and took some pictures of it. I am looking forward to getting some proper photos taken with a real camera at the Brodeo this weekend.

I can appreciate the way that looks on a 'vert, but I am staying with the original colors of the body work and trim. Plus I think keeping them black helps make the 25 years of imperfections on them less pronounced.

I wish you paint matched the bumper shrouds. Did it to my car & never looked back since. Most definitely the best exterior mod to the e30 DB. Oh and I half tucked & polished my bumpers. (FYI polishing bumpers is a PITA, unless u got power tools) Anyways coming along nicely.

Just the Classic Trimcoat aluminum trim restoration stuff for the time being. My opinion on tucked DBs is "should have bought a late car."

Found an armrest rear seat at the yard yesterday. 303 is amazing stuff! The headrests themselves are pretty trashed, though the seat base and back both cleaned up well...

Today I reinstalled the pop-outs, the B-pillar trim, the passenger window, the door handles and the rear cards. And I put the RGPs on the car for the first time. Yes I know it's 4x4 right now, but I don't think I'll have time to install the suspension before the Brodeo.

Yeah but I think you'll agree it really came out great.

We'll get some pictures of everything with some proper photography equipment once we get the last bits in and on the car here in the next week or so, and after I get the glass installer's error on the trunk repainted.

well you should be able to wipe the glue off the metal with solvent, but i suspect the fabric will be the deciding factor on whether you can get a "do-over".

Lightly apply the contact cement to the fabric and the chassis, wait 15 min, then carefully press the two together. You don't really get any second chances with it, but it holds great, I've used a similar contact cement when I did convertible tops as well. I used rubber cement but it doesn't seem to hold very well.
