    my first autox

Had my first autox today, it was a bmwcca event and i had a ton of fun. Still waiting for the results to see where im at.
Anyways heres a couple pics that were taken by a bmwcca member. My pics came out crapy and his are awsome. I have a good feeling, autoxing will be where majority of my car money is spent on now. :D

    lots of fun.

Nice, nice. I prefer lapping(tracking) to Auto X, but Auto x is indeed fun, and at times challenging. I really like ur car, too bad its only a 318.

make sure to focus on the differences between your own times and what changes you made, as opposed to comparing yourself to others.

I love seeing primarily stock 30s out doing their job.
Kudos for getting yours out there!

your car looks pretty badass in those pics actually, it's probably mostly the wheels. Haha you should spraybomb the whole thing flat black

what Maybach said. You don't need to mod your car to learn.

looks like fun. make sure everything is up to par with maintence and you should be fine with decent or good tires. then all the money you have to spend is just the registration fees and gas.

              great stance btw.

Light car no need for exessive power on auto-x. More helps on longer events but....glad you had fun.

"Having won more road races than any other model in history, the E30 M3 is considered by many to be the world's most successful road race car." - Simply put, E30s kick ass.

the only money going into the car for next autox season will probably be 325is or m3 swaybars and a sparco bar and maybe some nice tires. Might also have to do control arms and tierods because mine look like they havent been changed since 85. The car understeers alottt, but im sure alot of it probably has to do with me going into corners too hard, but i agree with you guys that i need to learn more before i mod.

I also should have a fender to put on shortly to get rid of that nasty blackness.

                      thanks guys.

skip the sparco bar, fix the suspension first, it'll make a bigger difference than the strut bar.
