no. If I do anything to the paint it will be proper.

truth. The body is straight, I just need to fix the rust hole under the battery.

I have, I also like cosmos black.

I love the rack and steering ratio, and originally had it powered but the seals blew so I just pulled the pump. It feels the exact same when moving over 20mph, but parking is a bitch now. The momo is really thick so that helps.

It's an s52 alright, just the long block though, everything else is m50 on it.

did you see the "3.2" on the profile gasket?:p

I knew there would be different opinions on the paint. When I bought the car, it was mostly sanded and primed and had the coilovers and konis, and did not run well enough to drive. I basically bought it for the price of the suspension. I was already eyeing an s52 long block a club member was selling for $750, so I picked that up the day after I towed the car home. The stars just seemed to line up that week, and they pointed to an s52'd e30...

My original intention was to swap the car, get it running and licensed, and then finish the prep and respray it diamondschwartz...That plan went out the window during the first drive. (I have a bad habit that I only buy shitty non-running bmws btw) It's been over a year now and the car has seen just about every other mod except the respray. I guess I'm torn between a bad ass ratty looking track car and a sickk clean and shiny perfect respray. The car looks pretty awesome now and no one fucks with it. I would still track it after a respray, but part of me wouldn't want to.

I do have a friend that does awesome paint work offer to spray the car and do a high build clear. I like diamondschwartz, but I'm leaning towards cosmos black. I love the color, have never seen it on an e30, and it might be a clue to what's under the hood.

        As I brought it home...

        in with the s52...

        fits like a glove.

Where can I find the best source on options and how to convert s52 to OBDI? I have searched and found some info here and there but nothing super detailed and complete.
Nice car BTW... I say full respray would make it eveb better.
