Congrats on the purchase, I've seen this car around many times!

Castros does solid work, this is definitely a nicely done swapped E30.

"Bought" is the way to go. That way someone else loses all the money and you reap the benefits. A cheap car is usually a bad deal for people like us. The expensive ones are usually the really good deals, when someone else has dumped a ton more than its worth into it. I wish I could have bought I swapped car already, but I came across mine before could find one. Will be s50'ing soon. GL with project

To be honest, I have only redlined it twice. It is very quick, but I have not measured it against another car yet. I will test it out against my cousin's fully modded AP1 (gutted soft top + hard top, rims, 3" HFC + 3" exhaust, intake, no tune, about 2550-2600 lbs~) tomorrow. My TL pulled on him once it got to 100+ when he had 4.77 gears, now he has 4.10 gears.

I'll also be testing it out against a friend's Nismo 350z, another friend's 380 whp Evo X, and any other buddies that wanna bring out their toys. I enjoy gauging the performance of cars against my friends, especially the guy with an Evo X... he is an incredible shifter (a bit faster than me) and perfect to test against. :)

Thanks man! And yeah, I don't really care about the "built not bought" bullshit, I am basically just taking on someone else's project and using it as a foundation for my own goals. Castro Motorsports did EVERYTHING on this car (suspension, exhaust, swap, everything) and there's nothing shameful about that.

I have already built cars from scratch (my S2000) and it is satisfying, but no more satisfying than improving upon someone else's tasteful project. Plus, it's really nobody's business whether or not you bought the car with work already done to it. It's a mantra that reeks of insecurity and overcompensation.

Oh, and I'll be taking more pics of the rest of the car tomorrow after washing it and putting 'em in this thread if anyone cares. :)

They're actually filled and redrilled for 4 lug. If it was 5 lug I'd try to find some Volks CE28's or RE30's for it, haha.

DO IT! AP1's especially are so much fucking fun. If you ever need help finding one and want me to look in SoCal, I can find you a legit one. I recently found a white '02 with red interior with 21k miles for $18k, one owner. :|

You are going to love it. It is the engine these cars should've come with.

Are you serious? Oh lordy. I can get mint S2000 seats all day for $300-400/pair. I might have to look up how to do that swap.

What I'd really like to fit are some NSX seats... those are some of the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. And they fit the style of the E30.
