I like it, especially if you're going to get it done right.

        Don't be hatin, playa!

I am planning on a Megasquirt install with my turbo. Also getting the Ryan G Splitter and a Butt Strut. They will go nicely with my Lukas Heatshield, don't you think? And my Euro Weaves. . .

Hey man, whatever floats your boat. Personally, I am a huge fan of flat black, and would love to paint my car that color, but I am way to cheap to get it done right (engine bay, door jams, trunk, etc.). Keep on spraying! PS-you can get an even coat, you just need more paint!

it looks fine when done right, like in thoee pictures u posted. and i suppose it may be a good temporary "fix" for the rust (unless you just painted over it)and upcoming winter season.

but now you have a silver engine bay, and door jams, and underneath the turnk carpet, more silver. for me, that's the worst part. I've never understood doing color changes unless you are as thorough as jordan. the value of the car just goes to shit.

I really like flat black cars... I do think it would look better smooth but for the winter it will be fine. Like he said its temporary.

It's temporary and it has a purpose~ I could have sanded down those rusty spots and then primed them and tried to match the faded silver paint, but it wouldn't have came out too wonderful. As far as the value of the car... it is the bmw I have always wanted, so the chances of it getting sold are slim to none. It is also worth noting that the car had been painted over before~ as there were some runs along the rear fenders in the silver paint, and the engine bay is a slightly different tone of silver (fading maybe?). So sorry stock colors and paint, but you were gone long ago.

Besides, who here puts money into their car and actually expects to get a return on it? Once your car reaches the $5000 barrier you are almost out of luck. I will get some more pics when my fog lenses get back in, and when the roundels get here, and half of you can continue to hate my car

I keep saying that if the e30 wants to be flat black then it need to be satin. and it looks likes that it's what you will do so then It will look very nice but just don't get that front end it looks like crap on that car, but it does look good on the blue one.

it took me a minute to figure out you were talking about this pic:

and yes~ satin is the way to go, and rattle can cars always look like they were painted with rattle cans :puppy:

It will be done. Only I'll use a real gun, not rattle cans.

Now you can't wash your car. Like, ever. Anytime you touch that shit ass paint with a cloth, pressure washer, etc, it'll just start disappearing.
