I presume a side-effect of the alcohol injection would be to chill the petrol mixtures as well, resulting in a cleaner bang? Do you run a complete 2nd fuel system for it (seperate pump/injectors/lines/etc) or did you plumb it into the stock lines and just run a second fuel pump that is switched on when you go for "high" boost ?
It's a seperate system. Quite simple actually... there is an aquamist nossle in my charge pipe right after the intercooler. When it hits 10psi a boost switch opens a solenoid injecting the alcohol into the air stream.

An RV pump keeps an accumulator pressurized so there is always fluid on tap. When the pressure gets low the pump turns back on.

In the future I plan to run a full out alcohol system. Essentially a second set of injectors that switch on at high power areas. So driving around town is gassoline... but when i get on it... she's all alcohol. That's where my project is going eventually.. maybe next year.

Phark.... massive props to you for the project Dan. You really deserve a slap on the back and a cold beer for your willingness to get out there, think differently and have a red-hot crack at modding your own car!

does the enigne run right with that valve cover breather? I thought it would create a vacum leak?

I really appreciate seeing some of the custom fab. Always good to break the mold, your e30 is definately original, and much congrats for that.

              Keep up the good work.

It's not connected to the intake air at all. Notice that the factory tube leading to the throttle body has been shaved from the cover.

I could have run it to the turbo inlet, but those vapors increase the tendency to detonate and also heat the air. No thanks on a turbo.

as i said before, who cares what a car looks like when the function is massively outweighing the form.. function>form.
I wouldn't say all of those mods on his car are function over form, like the 19" rims.

Honestly I don't mind the exterior, I even like the tail lights, but the 19"s jack the car so much that his car just looks really tall and really narrow do to the massive bumpers as well.

I don't think anybody asked this, but what purpose does this car serve to you Dan? Daily driver? Drag car? Street racer?

Car looks great... if you narrowed down the portion of the front bumper cover with the turn signals on it, I'm sure people would be really interested in it.

Great custom turbo setup, what all went into making that intake manifold? That seems like it could be an interesting winter project for me.

The car is neither of those. It's just my weekend fun.

The 19s are there because I like them. I think they look good... I'd still like to lower the car a bit more though... but I need to do something about my camber first.

I think you might be able to get away with 17" wheels with the brakes, but you would have to try out a few sets.
