    Whattup everybody. Here's my very first e30, a 1986 325es.

Got it for $2400 out the door. No prior history, the odometer stopped at 195k miles, dash is cracked, only one speaker works and the black trim has decided to turn into grey. But, I love it. Timing belt is getting replaced within a couple weeks. Already seafoam'd it and put new spark plugs, oil + filter, air filter and fuel filter in it. Plus it has some type of Borbet wheels, anybody know what model they are?

on the lot the day I picked it up:

driver's seat has a rip unfortunately, hence the lame seat covers

Got a nice surprise when I was changing the brake pads the other day :D

Not sure what kind of springs they are though, anybody have any guesses?

I suppose the grand scheme would be to get it to a nice OEM+ stage. I'm thinking Ground Control sleeves to get it low and maybe some basketweaves for wheels. Not too sure where I want to go with the chrome trim, maybe keep it chrome, maybe go black.

As money comes trickling in in the coming weeks I'll hit up all the black trim with some trim paint to get a little more fresh and give it a nice wax and polish. Diving boards are definitely getting tucked asap as well.

Hopefully I'll have some better quality pics coming up as I get some work done to it. That's it though, so far I absolutely love it. Even though its an eta and slow as fuck, its a blast to drive and handles like a dream. Thanks for checking it out

probably an OE sport or replacement springs... but nice Bilsteins... although about a million used E30's have them now. My former beat to death 90 vert even had some on them.

Engine and more interior shots coming up tomorrow! As far as suspension goes, is there any way to tell if the Bilsteins I have are sports or HD's? I'm going to take another look tomorrow, but last time I checked any writing on them was pretty faded. Does it matter which type they are as far lowering goes?

I'm lagging with interior/bay pics, but they'll come tomorrow, I promise!
For the trim I'm thinking about going with a flat black plasti dip to see what it'll be like. At least with that I have the option to take it off relatively easily and still have the chrome underneath if I change my mind. All the pics of it I've seen on here seem to have turned out really well, so I'm excited to see how it will look. One concern though is that since it comes off, it will wear off quicker than actually painting it...

After looking into a lot of suspension threads, I think I'll eventually go with h&r race springs. It seems like they're a pretty solid combo for a decent drop without being ridiculously expensive and a ton of people are using them without a whole lot of issues.

Another thing that may need addressing might be a valve job. The engine is a bit noisy, however I wouldn't say its anything extreme and I've heard the M20's are naturally a little on the noisy side. What's the general consensus on it? I'll probably record a video of it tomorrow so you guys can hear what I'm talking about.

If you dont want the wheels I'll take them off your hands.
They'll probably be staying on for a while, at least until I get some more cash coming in. Look for them to be for sale maybe late summer though.
