    e30 noob :(

So today i bought this e30 off a guy who has owned it since 1992 and loved the damn thing.
    '88 325is
just over 250k miles, records of everything ever, new falkens and brakes, lots of extra parts and very helpful guy.
Car has a pretty nice interior considering with just one small crack in dash and seats in good shape.
Came with bilsteins shocks/springs i cant remember name of, remus exhaust, racing dynamics strut bar and racing dynamics sway bar
Some clear coat fading on drivers side door only that got repainted for who knows what reason
Car drives and sounds great with practically no weird noises or rattles
Today i pulled out the back seat that was in bad shape, cleaned it up and installed a front lip and gave it a quick bath.
Tomorrow planning on plastidipping front bumper and lip and possibly rear bumper which are very faded and rough and also going to condition the leather tomorrow.
Anyways since I have been owned it trunk will not open. i put in key and try to turn it, try pushing in different spots, try wiggling key blah blah and cant get it to open. and cant get in through back seat since they dont go down. Before i just pushed in thing to open trunk and never locked it
Also passenger door will no longer open. Same thing, i get the key in but cant turn it. Also cant open with inside door handle or pull up the lock. What should i do for both problems! early i just rocked a dukes of hazard jump to get in. lol
Anything else i should know about e30s? common problems, best mods, etc
Pretty new to e30s but got this one for cheap so cant complain
Also have a 08 a4 titanium edition on ST's and stage 2 for now

Nice man, you've got my car's twin. I love the color combo, but I'm a lil biased ;)

i loooove the color combo! didnt even know they came with red interiors until i saw this one.
anyone have any tips on what to do for the door and trunk?
also would it look okay if i just used plastidip on front and rear bumpers?
I tried to use back to black but it still looks like ass.
Planning on painting wheels bronze or gold tonight and installing a new ac condenser so i dont die in az heat
also i paid 1900$ for the car. pretty fair price?
i was expecting to pay at least 3k for a car in this shape lol
i figured if the car somehow explodes and i dont want to fix it i can easily part it for that especially with new tires, bilsteins and exhuast.

also since i pulled out back seats the rear suspension is a little noisy. thinking of using dynamat over where the back seats were. is this the best option?
would it be a good idea to plastidip or paint the dynamat or do you think it wont glare too much?

I'd personally not do Dynamat (though I love the stuff for other applications). Put your money and time into working on the suspension itself...fix the noises, instead of covering them up. It's straightforward work.

                    That's a solid price, yes.

Can't help you on the locks, sorry...but search around here, the info will be on this website for sure. Everything is =)

Some exterior mods to get you going (search them out) would be shadowline, bumper tuck, hid's, euro grills, clear/smoked sidemarkers or euro trim, pinstripe removal, plate filler. Those are the common and cheap ones.

yeah i plan on checking out whats making noise suspension wise as well but was considering dynamat just to quiet down interior a little. I am a little bit afraid of pulling off pinstriping and being able to see where it was even after a good buff. talked to PO and looks like lock problem is alarm related so ill have to tear into that tomorrow. AC blows but not cold and compressor is about 8 years old and discovered today that condenser has a bad crack so i ordered a new one online. what size bulbs do i need for hi/low beams?

                          thanks for the info
doing a bumper tuck and going to plastidip bumpers tonight.
also going to paint the wheels gold.
any options for fog lights? both mine are cracked but dont care to spend any money on them

Dunno what your budget is, but you could convert to plastic bumpers. Easy to do on an '88, and looks cleaner than diving boards IMO.

trying not to put more than 1k into this car to clean it up and make it a nice clean dd with ac. dont mind putting time into it but dont wanna spend a lot
id rather spend money on my a4
