So funny I was just thinking about polishing my boards. I like your car dude has character.
Thanks man. If u do polish your boards better be prepared. The coating on them is rediculously thick. Like black girl apple bottom thick. You have to take it all down to the metal before u can polish, but theres nothing like a mirror finished diving board. Never seen another maybe never will
My dad and I restored our 66' Airstream we had to strip the finnish then polish all of the aluminium PITA but it looks amazing. I figure if i have all of the aluminum polishing stuff why not did you recoat them afterwards?

Nope didn't recoat. Finished with 2000 grit then polished with rubbing compound/ mothers mag aluminum polish & sealed with wax. Works well just have to polish once in a while cause of scratches.

i did the back on my vert cuz it was scratched up. just used a buffing wheel on a drill and polish to take care of it, i think it only took me around 4 hours. i'll get the front one of these days.
did you polish the bottom too?
