    My neon

When I posted a how to question about removing RTV gasket material from my CF eyelids for the Neon I had a few people ask me to post pics of it. Well... finally got the suspension on (SRT-4) and the wheels (also SRT-4). Waiting for springs in the mail so its not a candidate for the next Toby Kieth video. For a Neon.... I've done a lot of work to it condsidering I've only had it 3 months. I'm only gonna post 1 pic cause I'm sure the flaming will be hell... Ready aim.... flame...

Yes thats my e30 next to it.

Well, since you're in Germany, maybe it's not so bad.

The only reason I bought it is for the wife. But once I got it....the idea of an open platform to play with sounded fun. The day after I got it, it was wrecked so I got some depreciation money. I figured.... well.... the car made the money so why not spend it on the car? I've honestly done a fair amount of work on it with minimal money spent. Now that the depreciation money is gone its time to make it a bit faster. We'll see where that heads..... maybe an SRT swap....

I think it's so ironic that you have access to all of these amazing euro-only cars that most US guys would kill for, yet you buy a Dodge :) .

hey, I like the neon... I've driven them at skip barber and they are great... the SRT-4 is *fast* and the neon-based open wheel school cars are beyond fun. These cars don't get their due.

This guy should maybe get BBS RXs and lose the stripes... just my two cents.

and yeah, driving in europe, the neon probably does stand out... Jeep Wranglers, for example, get a ton of attention.

Yeah we got a lot of euro cars.... but what good is that going to do me when I come back stateside? Its gonna cost a fortune to get to ship one. So I'm collecting parts and taking them back with me. Trust me.... I'll have a euro ride when I get there in August.

I'm on the fence bout my cuda stripes. They need something in the rear to finish em up. thinkin I'll get something that says dodge.... not sure. Also the BBS's are too small. I like these SRT wheels. Gonna do some powder coating with some flake in em. See if that don't bring em out.

And for those of you who didn't know.... I'm an American just temporarily stationed here with the Army. I've been here since March 03 and will redeploy stateside in Aug 06. Yes this car sticks out.... especially when you are somewhere thats not near an american post. I told my mom today that I was gonna get out of the Army, buy a box of pink shirts, cut my hair into a mullet and buy a mid 80's camaro RS with t-tops and be the coolest mofo in Europe.

                        Lol, cute car....

Why not just buy an SRT-4 if you are swapping all those parts on it?

Let's drive fast and have fun.

the japanese love the big SUVs that serves them absolutely no purpose.
For example, Escalades, Navigators, Excursions, and some smaller SUVs including Explorers, Durango etc.
And they only really love the old hot rods.

I couldn't get an SRT-4 when I bought it. With the Army they will only ship 1 car for you for free and you have to have 1 year left in country when it gets on the ship to come over here. At the time I bought this there weren't any srt-4's available to purchase.... so I had to settle for this one. At the price, I could still swap in an SRT-4 engine and be under the sticker for it. I've got my eyeballs on a 04 engine with only 6100 miles on it..... mmmmmmmmmmm
