    i just r3ved it

    .................................................. ............................................

uhhh so yea im on my way to work this morning and im turning off the off ramp and some idiot cuts out infront me so i hit the gas and change lanes while trying not to slam into this dumb waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles when my BAD ASS khumo ectsa tires loose traction on the wet pavement and i go flying into the island and fucked my car up ...well i wont be driving it to florida now...

i also think the post with the reflector on it popped a hole in my under carraige because i could smell something feirce coming up into the cabin while i was driving home...the car is barely driveable i have to keep the steering wheel turned a full turn to the left just to keep it straight...when i got it home i jacked it up and i can wiggle the drivers front tire quite a bit with the steering wheel locked (side to side wiggle) ...so i dont know what im gonna do now i have liability only and all the money i have is for school so i think im shit out of luck ...looks like ill be flying down to florida and having my shit shipped to me down there.......god damn this is fucking bullshit i want to fucking kill something

Well... you killed your car... does that count?

That really fucking sucks though. I had khumo ectsa's on my E30 and fucking hated them. Sucks that the asshole cut you off. How much of your car went on to the curb? The valence damage sucks but shouldn't impact the driveability of your car. I would put your car on jack stands and check things out. I think you will definitely need a new wheel/tire (spare?) and you probably killed your tie rod. Check to see if your subframe is ok. The Euro Depot is close enough to you to get you a used subframe in a day for next to nothing. Check the control arm and the lollipop (CA Bushing mount).

Give us some under carriage pictures. You could be able to fix it for way less than a plane ticket and shipping charges. How much time do you have before you need to be in Florida?

Well.. the euro depot sells front subframes for $125... but I have a spare one at my place I could ship to you for the cost of shipping only. probably about $30-35 for UPS ground, be there in a couple days.

i was supposed to start driving to florida on the 28th of this month but with this shit i have no idea now...

i dont have any spares...like an idiot i sold all my bcaps when i got these rims...i know the front apron doesnt impact driveability but the tires do....i was on my way home and i could hear noises coming from the passenger side aswell and i didnt even hit that side.... the control arms and bushings etc are in good condition...the tierod visually looks to be in good condition aswell...but i dont know i will go put it on jack stands and try to get pics of the undercarraige ...i suck with a camera but ill see what i can do

When you're not angry take a closer look at the car.
Usually cases like this are of a varying magnitude of damage. Here's a check list of items which you should look at
          1. Tie rod end - With the steering wheel positioned such that the car should move straight, stand a few feet away from the front of the car and see if your tires are like this ||--|| or ||--\\ or ||--// .....If its a case of||--\\ or ||--// replace the tie rod or the tie rod end.
          2. Control arm - As you look in the wheel well with the wheel supposedly straight once again does the wheel look centered? Turn the wheel to full lock in either direction, is it rubbing against anything? Messed up caster from control arm being bent can cause that. Strut housing (may be bent as well)
These are simple enough to visually inspect. Your wheels are crooked and you prob smelled something burning because your toe and caster issues are out of spec

          Good luck.

PS:For the cost to fix the tie rod and control arm, you can get it done in about 3 hours. It's the strut housing that may be a PITA but those can take a beating usually. Don't you have a spare tire? Slap it on the front.

The outer tie rod ends can be had for abou $15-20 from BMA. Call and explain the situation to Patrick and I'm sure he can hook you up.

This really suck man. I was really liking how your car was looking. It is probably not going to be as bad as you thought it was originally.

Good call on that one. If you had to turn the wheel that much to keep her straight you were damn sure dragging a front wheel.

I think you can get this whole thing fix for less than the cost of a plane ticket.

And e30s are really reliable vehicles... as long as we don't fuck with them

ok i took some pics of the under carraige of all the scratches and gouges...and to be honest the damage does not look nearly as bad as i thought...i think my rim and my apron took the grunt of the damage....although my left tierod is bent like a mother fucker...thats the only other thing i noticed that was wrong yea the subframe has some scratches the oil pans got some scratches and the exhuast but i couldnt notice anything else wrong except the tierod the apron and the wheel...so heres the pics if you notice anything let me know lol

this is the drivers side tierod end

                scrapes on the H pipe

                passenger side lollipop(bushing bracket)

scrapes and gouges on the subframe

scrapes and gouges on the oil pan

oh and by the way this is how the wheels look when the steering wheel is straight

//-||lets say that is the top view of the car

the only problem im most likely going to have is finding another rim of the same kind ...maybe ill sell these ones (with the damages one) and buy some steel wheels or some shit

                    Dude, resize your pics!!!
ANyhew, you're not in too much pig shiet. Just get a tie rod end and move on from there. Subframe can take a hell of a beating. Be glad you didn't smash your oil pan open. I can't figure out the CAB pic, not enough light. The tie rod end isn't really that much $$ as mentioned. If you want you can get it from a dealer or price shop locally, you're close to Bavauto too and they can get it to you sooner.

You may have lucked out... as long as there isn't any slop in the control arm bushing mount you should be able to get a new tie rod, plus that part that comes out of the steering rack (about $35)

(that might be a pain in the ass to repair under the car) and you'll be good to go with a new set of wheels/tires. If you are really hurting for cash i would just get a same sized steelie wheel/tire combo and chuch the damaged wheel.

It's easy to replace the tie rod. Just make sure u don't fuck up you toe too bad when eyeballin so you can at least get to a tire shop to get it aligned.

YAY for un-resized, blurry pictures, and lots of them!!!! w0000000000

                          Your tires werent at fault.
                          You were.
Its called car control, even if he did cut you off... slamming on the gas and making a lane change is the wrong action. I teach these skills for BMW CCA, so I'm not just blowing smoke up your ass. :tsk:

                          Good luck.

Guy's already having a bad day... no need to point out the obvious. An accident happens when you make multiple mistakes. Getting on the gas definitely the wrong thing to do... BMW CCA schools rockorz the big!!!!111 Can't wait till next season.

                              Yup. Good point Jared.

You need a new tie rod end, your wheel looks fine from what I can see in the pictures. Tie rod, alignment, and you'll be fine. Worst case, you have a bad shimmy from a bent wheel... mount the wheel on the back if you dont want it to shake the steering wheel. Not the end of the world.
