    Before, I think I would actually look at my account, see how much there is left after clearing the Visa, and find a way to spend it on this thing.

    When you consider that I've paid for everything on this car (including maintenance and gas) on a 10-15 hour per week job while going to school full time, you start to get an idea of the amount of my "disposable" income that went into mods. Easily 80-90%.

    Luckily, I have a straight enough head to avoid putting anything on credit. I haven't paid a cent of interest (never held a balance) in at least 18 months now, and my credit record is spotless because of it. But damn, I never put away any money at all.

    I don't regret it too much, though. The car is a blast to drive and look at, and I'll love it for years to come.

      Sounds pretty much exactly the same as my story.
