So this is where im at now, same story as when i got the white car. Rough idle. most noticable repairs include cracked intake boot, barely leaking fuel tank. ill check injectors and c191 plug too.
@sixerfixer Help me get the black 325e running and you can have some parts off the white 325is!Last edited by fenwick; 06-24-2016, 07:28 PM.Legit Sellers: Insomniac912, SixerFixer, 3liter6, NoSnowJustIce, JustXtreme, SLEEPYDUB

Sounds like a pretty bad vacuum issue to me. I'd start with checking to make sure the oil cap is on tight, then do a valve adjustment and check the vacuum hoses for leaks. These motors run like crap if they leak vacuum. A leaking valve cover gasket can cause this problem too.
Also, what plugs are you running? How are they gapped?
I'd be more than happy to help, but my availability is pretty limited until July 15th (thesis submission deadline).87 325is - 88 635CSi - 03 Jetta 1.8T - 04 V70R

Well… I do eventually plan on fully updating this thread with all the progress over the years. I have many pics of small jobs saved that I just need to sort out and post here.
For now, a small update.
Currently my only cars are the two e30’s, same as before.
White 87 325is is waiting half way across the country for an engine swap. Not a whole lot of progress has happened there.
Black 86 325es has been treating me well. Definitely had some hidden rust which I have finally begun to tackle.
Before moving to the west coast, I didn’t have much of a need for a car (living/working/going to school within a 3 block radius) so progress was moving slow.
I hastily got the black car to a running and driving state. Then immediately packed it completely full and drove it 24 hours over two days to the west coast. (Lots of good pics)
Here is a little sneak peek.
Promise I will get around to doing a full update soon.
I also need some odds and ends so if you’re parting out any suitable cars or have spare parts (preferably in canada) please let me know.Last edited by fenwick; 02-16-2022, 12:29 AM.Legit Sellers: Insomniac912, SixerFixer, 3liter6, NoSnowJustIce, JustXtreme, SLEEPYDUB
