    My ///E12 535i Turbo project

    Good day all!
Started this project 4 years ago! The car is an ex Tony Viana M30B35 engined 535i. The project is almost complete!

The car in its hey day's

The car after the front Fibreglass spoiler was fitted.

The car after the first primer coat.

The car after the final coat.

I then decided to add ///M colors to the car.

My trusted helper, my son Brandon.

Awesome car! Not sure how I feel about the e36 front, looks better than I would think though.
Awesome paint! Looks like a sweet project.

I've never liked when older cars try to adapt updated bumpers, but for some reason, the e36 m front really works here for me. I love the paint scheme too. Nice job!

My apologies, for some reason al the pictures was not loaded!? This is the car around 2 years ago!

I then decided to do some legal racing with the car and unfortunately I dettonated and broke 2 pistons. Had to rebuild the engine and fitted it with all the bells and whisstles.

Decided to clean up the engine bay! This is the before picture.

        The after picture.

My intentions was to build an extremely fast street racer and the 535i is not a light weight model. I decided to shed some weight by replacing the extermely heavy hood with my own hand made fibreglass unit!

        The final product.

I then decided to shed some more weight and installed a 38 liter fuel cell!

I then made my own turbo header! This was the most difficult task on the entire car!!

The final product after ceramic coating.

The turbo header with the turbo installed.

The engine bay at this stage.

Have removed the bold ///M colors!? This is what the car looks like at this stage!

Everything you see here, I have done myself! I am not an expert at building cars, in fact i am a chemist and works with all sorts of chemicals every day! If I can do it, so can anybody else!

Car looks great. You have done a great job with it. Mad props to a mad chemist. Good to see you got your turbo facing the correct direction in the last picture compared to the one above it

Unfortunately I had to turn the turbo around as there is no space for the downpipe at the back! The turbo will stay this way, I will however build a nice duct for cool fresh air??

Must be fun to change spark plugs! Also, you running solid trans mounts?

Changing the plugs might be a challenge in the future?? I am still using the original mountings!

Isn't the didcharge pipe making contact with the strut tower base? It might cause some wear and boost leak in the mid future ;)

                    Keep comming more photos!

Sorry man, not a fan. I like the engine but, i'm not a fan of the M3 bumper, lack of rear bumper, or the angel eyes. However, it is your car and you built it for yourself, that I respect.

Have fun with it, it looks like a blast to drive.

You are right! Will tidy all of that up in the next month!

I think it would be cooler if you restored it back to how it looked in that racing picture...... but it does seem like your putting alot of quality work into it.
Very nice job, except I hate the front bumper unfortunately.

Those wheels look a bit off to me. I would say get something with fewer gaps, like the A's, or some nice BBS spoke.
