    New Heart for Holly

Its been a great time working with the Levent and Joel over at Guten to build out my car which has had quite the past. It was one of Guten's first cars and has been owned by two caring members from r3v previously. During that time the car had undergone some major changes that in my mind are exactly the way a car should be built. It may sound cheesy but I enjoy having a car that obtained some character during its life and had been well taken care of.

The motor of choice for the swap was a 98 S52. This particular S52 has a VAC Stage 2 Head w/ hardened valve locks, Multi angle exhuast/valve job Schrick Cams 264/256, ARP bolts, M50 Manifold, 3.5 intake, Ireland Eng Aluminum Radiator, Porsche 3.5 HFM, 24lb Injectors, Jegs FPR, AKG Swap mounts, Eurosport Pulleys, Castro Intake box and Technica Custom Tune. On the exhuast side, Schmiedmann equal length headers, Rouge Engineering full exhuast (no cat). We choose to go OBD2 so that we could easily download custom tunes. Drivetrain consists of a ZF trans, new oem clutch w/ Rouge stainless clutch line, e30 M3 driveshaft, and 3.25 LSD w/ powdercoated red dif cover.

Along with all the motor goodies, I added an M-Tech 2 wheel with tri-color stitching and perforated leather. Guten Pod Vent Gauge, currently have Oil temp, Oil pressure, and Volt. I plan to swap out my cluster with an M3 cluster and change the oil temp to coolant temp. I swapped out the dash which I hope will not have to do again and I'm sure that forgot some stuff.

The wheels are my backup wheels as I'm hunting down the perfect set now. 16x8 et20 w/ 225/45 is my goal. Still looking forward to hitting the dyno and working on the tune and I'd like to start doing some auto-x events towards the end of the summer. Right now I'm just enjoying driving her, she pulls like a freight train especially in the top end. The rouge exhuast sounds amazing and as I sit at my desk typing this I think how bad I'd rather be behind the wheel :)

I've been practicing a bit with my new Canon and also got the Contour GPS camera for my b-day, so many photos and video are to come documenting the progress/madness haha. Here are some recent pics.

What are you running suspension wise? That thing must be pretty damn quick! Can't wait to see some dyno numbers. Stock stroke, bore, and compression?

Yes stock stroke, bore and comp. Suspension is Ground Control Coilovers w/ 450lb front and 700lb rear, Koni adjustables, GC camber plates and Ireland Engineering front and rear sways on the way. Also the coils are as high as they can go up in those pics since i've been back and forth to Guten a few times and my oilpan fears the Belt parkway. NY/LI crew can vouch for that lol

Swap looks clean and done right. On top of that, the specs look impressive. I'm interested in your steering wheel, was it re-wrapped? It looks hella thicker than normal M-Techs, I'd like to do the same with mine.

Thanks, I got this from Tainik on ebay. http://motors.shop.ebay.com/tainik/m.html Had him make it thicker and do the perforated leather on the sides and normal leather on top with the tri-color stitching. His work is great but they take a while to ship from Germany. A new OEM M-Tech wheel can be had for cheaper but i don't think they compare to the feel of this one.
