Car looks good but please tie up the loose ends and kill whoever painted that thing. It looks like a maaco special. I'm not trying to come off like every car needs to be perfect (my paint is faded to shit) but someone went crazy and just decided to throw blue on every damn part of that car because they didn't want to remove parts or mask it properly and its really killing any look your going for.

Hahaha that's some bad luck if I've ever heard it.
My apologies sir :p
I see what you mean. I'd much rather it be an e28 though hahah.
I guess I don't really see what you mean by they "just decided to throw blue on". When washed the paint really doesn't look too bad at all. Obviously it's not perfect seeing as it was done in a guys garage I'm assuming. I'm not shooting your comment down, more so wanting you to elaborate on which parts are painted that shouldn't be, ect. Thanks for the reply though!Car looks good but please tie up the loose ends and kill whoever painted that thing. It looks like a maaco special. The bumper filler, bumpers really...idk I'm not a fan of all that blue because it just looks like they didn't wana remove things or tape.
Also the paint looks very hazy, looks like it could use a good wet sanding and compounding .
Not trying to shoot down anything just some things you should look at.

All the trim that's there was obviously taken off, along with the grills, side lights etc... I too am kind of confused what you mean.Comment

Didn't say anything about lights or grilles or trim.
He asked for criticism good or bad. I'm not trying to put him or his car down but if someone painted my car and that's what it looked like, unless I paid them 500$ to do it, id be very upset.
I'm thinking it could be improved by a good wet sand and compound but its hard to say from pics. There's just no depth to it.

Yeah I guess I see what you mean now. However theres a couple things to keep in mind! I actually did only pay $500 for the car, and I hadn't washed it yet after it was sitting under a tree at the previous owners house for who knows how long. Obviously the paint isnt the greatest or have the most depth, but when I washed it, it looked a lot better than I thought.Didn't say anything about lights or grilles or trim.

As you can see here, the car was absolutely filthy!Didn't say anything about lights or grilles or trim.

A couple other nice pictures:

This picture took A LOT of work to get. There was a lot of editing that went into clearing up the camera noise along with making it bright enough. But this was one of the only pictures of the sparks from the exhaust that turned out:

And as I promised, the new heart for my e30! M50B25tu! I got the motor, trans, motor mounts, trans mount, DME, wiring harness, adapter harness, driveshaft, clutch slave cylinder, brake booster and master cylinder all for $1200. To me, thats not bad at all for a near plug and play E36 swap.

Okay I have a quick wire harness question for you guys. The m50 I picked up has an adapter harness that plugs into the big circular plug right off of the fuse box. The one with all of the pins. My '86 325e does have this plug, but that car is junk. The '84 that I'm swapping the m50 into does not have this plug. Is this just in a different location or do I need to make an adapter harness for the adapter harness? Pardon my ignorance, I didn't searc. This is kind of a spur of the moment post for help.Comment

So Im ready to drop the M50 in, but I just have 1 quick question. The brake master looks to be out of an e32 735i (just by comparing pictures to what I have). I only have one problem: I dont know which port is for the front brakes and which port is for the rear. The m20 master had two ports for the front brakes (1 line to each caliper) and a port to the rear line. The one I have only has two ports total, so Im going to have to run a "T", which is fine. I dont want to just guess because of the different amounts of pressure and what not. I have checked realoem for hard brake line diagrams and havent been able to find much. Once I run new lines this thing can go in and I can get it finished up!Comment
