Basically just maintenance stuff for now. I should be getting a water pump, timing belt, plugs, and a few other things in a couple days. Then doing the brakes. As of right now it's just going to be my winter car, but we'll see what happens1989 JDM-Tech 2

that was yesterday's project. Got everything done except for the fuel filter. Didn't feel like doing that at 2am. But the winter car is getting closer to being ready. Brakes, timing belt, water pump, oil change, swapped to basket weaves instead of bottle caps, and plugs. Now I just have to diagnose most likely a bad ground causing the speedo and fuel gauge to flutter. Also car is sputtering so hopefully it's just the remnants of the bad gas (put $10 of 93 in earlier today) or bad wires. Keep in mind this was my second time driving the car 8]

Did the idle suffer at all after the swap? How about cold starts?

The lows are 8000k (light blue to match the car) and the highs are 6000k (diamond white iirc)1989 JDM-Tech 2

Just a little update,
Yes, that is a JDM spec r32 skyline. No big deal. It is unfortunately not mine though. I did get to ride in it and I must say, that thing is wicked. So cool
Moved to a new place about a block away with a much larger garage about two and a half cars (so three e30s)
Also disassembled one of my 885 heads and prepping it for a 272* cam and a mild Stroker rebuild to eventually be swapped into the coupe and run by megasquirt.
It's cleaning up pretty well, but definitely a time consuming process.Last edited by Simple_Smith; 12-22-2013, 08:48 PM.1989 JDM-Tech 2
