Yeah, seriously, take the Mtech off. I'd cry if it got beat up.

Exactly what happined to me, went on a weekend trip to northern MN with
yoko es 100, a blizzard came through and dumped 14in of snow. I made it
out to the main road but that was it. Ended up leaving my car and catching
        a ride with a frend.

Drove back up the next night and limped it home (it was a early snow and
most of it melted the next day along with help from all the salt and sand from mndot).

A few weeks later I purchased some blizzaks, night and day difference it felt like a 4 wheel drive vehicle. No problems ever since.

Snow tires help, I am sure. I have never owned a set, and never gotten stuck -- in any car.

Since you asked so nicely.... I guess I could let you have them back if you let me use the SSR's for winter.

                  Thanks for the compliments guys.

We've already established any car without snow tires sucks in snow.

It will be durable enough, just stay out of snowbanks and don't try to be Mr Plow.

I've had Nokian Hakkas before and had NO trouble in the snow. Passing Jeeps and Yukons were a plus. :D
