Looking good. I think I still have the a/c mounting if you ever wanted to put a/c in this thing.

I'll probably never end up installing a/c
I should have videoed the burnout session.

^^^ Never understood why people do this... Fill it with aluminum. Welding promotes way to much distortion. Read at the bottom.

Welding a diff in my opinion is just asking for trouble .... lets take a precision cast steel component and cover it with splatter distort it and generally destroy any hope it has of being a precision item anymore. I have seen welded diffs with 015" lash on one side of the crown wheel and 002" on the other!! .... how long do you think that will last.
                And

I have done it using an old blowing vacuum a pot and some nice BBQ coal and an old vacuum that blows. I have a little pot furnace now and I use smashed up pistons for the alloy.

If someone is welding a diff, I really don't think they give a flying f*ck about splatter. Also, I completely covered the main gear with leather and coated everything but the spider gears with antisplatter.

Anyone who is interested in a 100% locked diff isnt too concerned about precision haha
