Just got my first E30!

If you haven't checked your gas tank for rust yet, do it soon. My '87 325is had sat from '03 to '11. The PO said he put a new fuel pump in and had proof so I didn't bother checking the gas tank till it was too late. When I finally pulled the in-tank pump there was 1/8" even 1/4" chunks of rust on the strainer and you could see rust throughout the tank.

thanks for the heads up, i checked the tank before i bought it and there was no gas in it. i have also put some fuel treatment in as well.
