VW's rule. I still miss my MkI GTi to this day. If I put the money I have put into my e30 into another MkI or II VW, it would easily spank my 325i. You just can't argue with 1900lbs, CR gearboxes, and complete engine swappability, excluding the VR6 of course. They certainly aren't as solid as a bimmer, but $20 for a head at the pick n'pull as opposed to $300.....those were the good old days. I still wouldn't trade though.

Dont get me wrong, i loved the car when it ran well. Much MUCH more fun then any BMW ever could be cause theres no thinking involved in driving a light weights FWD car fast. BUT as all things go, and very much so with Mk2 VW's, rust sets in which causes water leaks, which causes electronic issues. And if any of you ever worked with a Digifant II VW you will know that the motor HATES electonic problems, mainly bad grounds.

This car is not a good example of a Mk2, I know a few people with badass Mk2's that would destroy my e30.
