if you're planning on using an 850i caliper, the max you're going to be able to fit in there is about 328mm.
iirc the e46m3 front rotor is 325x28mm, and truthfully, for the money you'll spend on the upgrade, I dont think its worth it. But its your money, and I'll admit it'd be pretty cool to have huge brembo 4 pots.
I'll stick with e36 m3 brakes, my car is heavy enough as it is.

Whoops - are we talking about the same guy? - no he sold it - Dave L in SF - I saw it up there a week before he sold it.. It WAS *perfect* except for the re-spray Think it was a 89 e30m3 - he stipped and repainted
Hey! It seems as if no normal painter can handle the arches on an m3...(just what I noticed) - ask M3ryan too...from two different painting (3 three from rumors) = all have run'ds over the fenders...dripps running down the front fenders...
Anyways - Dave L's old M3 was repainted locally - sent to SF again - and I believe for sale...(owner thinks it is in too good of conidition to be a 5 mile Daily driver)...So don't expect a 10k bit will make him wet...
It's a mint car - I'd say what it was actually sold for??? - no!!!! - but you all would think that you coulnd but it again for it...It's a NICE - $14k car....at least - ...
I've looked it up and down - worked in it...NICE>.....

Check them yourself. They work fine with the E31 Brembo caliper.

Hi Addis,
Thanks buddy. I'm pretty sure 330 would be too big. I hope I didn't misslead anybody. I think I measured the max OD possible to be 328mm. But I'd still prefer 325, it's really tight in there.
I'm hoping that by the time I get back in mid July, Ian will have all the test components finished. I'd really like to complete that little project. It seems a few are just waiting to see the results before they commit.
Anyway, if you need anything feel free to drop me a line anytime. I appologise, but my responses may be a bit slow since I'm away from home but I'll do my best to get back to you ASAP.
Take care,
Jake

Jake-
Awesome R&D on this man- Huge props. There was talk about using a 330mm wilwood rotor- After looking at the pictures with the 325mm m3 rotor installed, I'm wondering if there would be an extra 5mm clearance? I understand that you're not around the brakes right now, but off the top of your head, did you notice there being much clearance between the outer-rotor diameter and the caliper?
Thanks-
AddisToby, that's interesting about the E46 M3 discs. You said you were going to use *these* calipers with E46 M3 discs? Just needed a spacer behind it eh? What prevented you from trying it? I just looked at it on the ETK and they're the right size, 325 x 28. Hmm...-E46 M3 MS rotor: 34-11-2-282-801/802
that picture is taken using a 325x28mm m3 disc. I'm pretty sure that you dont have an extra 20mm of clearance in there, but I could be wrong.

See your car doesn't even count as a contender for the "lowest" you are running Kia Rio sized tires on wide wheels.
no reason to hate jordan, just cause your car is a run of the mill ETA, that will never be worth anything- ohhh, forgot the E36 panels, that make it ohh so cool. till now, i ussually try to stay away from insulting peoples cars, but just like on S14.DE--- you talk out your ass! that is my style, and im sure if I ran jordan approved sized tires, it wouldnt handle any better-- and i wouldnt like the look of a 4x4 like your car-- by the way, you are talking about running 35 side wall profile, so fuck you. my car, and i like the style!
and thanks for the compliments on my baby.

Mike, sorry to say but that wasn't much of a diss that Jordan was saying to you, honestly. I don't always agree with what he says, but just because you don't doesn't mean you need to give a full on arguement when some of your points are false.
You like your style, he likes his, it's good they are different. It's cool that you like things a certain way. End of the hissy fit and the off topic bs.
This pic in the water helps this car appear pretty damn low.
Other:
As stated http://www.e30.de has many euro slammed e30s.
I personally like some fender space on early models, not a lot but some.
